[ Now that he thinks about it, it's possible that some mixed signals are his fault. It's just been difficult coming in after someone else, and never knowing exactly where anyone's remembering him or, essentially, someone else. Usually he doesn't think about it too much and it works well enough, but it's one thing to casually flirt with someone new and something else altogether with Finn. ]

[ he doesn't leave any fault with poe for this; it's kind of like they've been starting over in more ways than one, and obviously he can't predict what's going to happen between the two of them now. then again, all he has to look back on are a handful of makeouts and one very nice morning cuddle, so it's not like anything else would be treading into previously explored territory.

[ He's not all that concerned, since even if someone were to walk in, of the people who share the room he doubts that any would bother them, regardless of what they might get up to. Maybe it's not ideal, but its private enough for him honestly and he can't think of anywhere he'd rather do this given their options here. ]

[ Poe figured that this would be awkward in person. Honestly he's kind of feeling it too, despite having had plenty of experience with these things, often in very similar circumstances where he pulled someone into a conveniently empty bunk to sneak in some kisses or more before anyone found them. It's just not the same with Finn, not least of all because they're more than just friends and fellow soldiers. There's a bond between them, and also with Rey, that isn't quite like anything Poe's had before. And if it's new for him it's even more so for both of the others. Finn never had a chance to explore anything like this before.
At least before he landed with the Resistance, and now here on this ship, which is all still relatively new.

Of course that won't hold up to direct touch thanks to the nanites, but that's not a problem yet. ]
