The nerves are definitely overtaking most of it, though, making his steps falter as he tries to inwardly debate over whether he's being too hasty in heading there, and whether she'll know he hurried over here that quickly. But then again, he doesn't want to take his time either and leave her waiting on him, right?
In the end he's pretty sure he gets there first — or maybe they get there at exactly the same time from different parts of the ship, because he walks into the observation room, the viewing shield down so that people can look out and see the view into space, and then it's almost in another breath that he somehow feels her here already.
Obviously he knows it's the Force; the empathy bond isn't strong enough to carry over that distance without them touching, and she's not standing close to him yet, but he watches her, lifts a hand almost awkwardly before shifting to find a place on one of the couches, leaving room for her to sit with him. ]

[ It isn't so much that she rushes to get to the observation deck either, but she does feel a thrill in her heart and a kind of breathlessness she isn't sure she understands just yet — only that she's never felt it before and it is a very different feeling to what connects her to everything around her, to the Force.
But speaking of that — she's been noticing now how she can feel Finn more distinctly than most of the others on this ship. The way she can trace his path is so much like her connection to Luke or Ahsoka; to the Jedi. She finds him easily and when he beckons her over, she goes to him without hesitation, joins him on the couch which is both too comfortable and too small. Or maybe it's too big? She isn't sure.
Her lips quirk into a smile she can't help, impossibly fond and feeling a little stupid. ]
Hi. [ Yes, yes this is very stupid; she's being stupid. This is Finn. Still, she has to ask (again): ] Is everything all right?
[ He realizes that he's able to sense her here, different from anyone else, something stronger in her presence that makes her stand out even when she's in a different part of the ship than he is too. It's not as strong as it is now, with her standing right in front of him, but it's a surreal feeling, discovering that, figuring out that maybe he's always known how to do it but hadn't been able to tell what it was. Talking to Ahsoka, to Luke, his understanding of it is finally clicking into place.
He wants to tell Rey about it too, but then again, it also feels like he has so many different things to tell her that he just needs time and a place to do it all in. ]
What? No, I mean yes. Yes, it's fine. Everything's... [ He trails off, reaches down to her hand closest to his so he can take it, and he knows she'll be able to feel him through the empathy bond now, nervousness but also excitement at getting to be here with her. ]
You feel it too, right? [ How he feels, the sense of it growing stronger when he finally lifts his gaze to her face again. ]
[ Rey doesn't so much gasp, but she does exhale a breath like there's a sudden uptick in her heartbeat and it's because of him. Because of this wonderful, beautiful person, her first friend. (Well, if we're not counting BB-8. Sorry, buddy.)
Her fingers squeeze his and she nods, staring down at their joined hands. She isn't sure what it is, or — more accurately — why it is that she feels a little shy about what she's feeling through the empathy bond, even when her own heart is a reflection of his. The things she feels that she could never really put into words, the gratitude, the protectiveness, the love. She watches the way their fingers slowly become laced together before she does dare to look back up to meet his eyes. ]
Yes. [ She finally says, and her voice is quiet. ] Yes, I feel it too, Finn.
