[ He's not sure what to expect from Poe after he lays it out there like that, but he does feel an overwhelming sense of relief that it's out there now, that he's finally been able to find the words to say what he's feeling rather than simply falling into this emotional cycle of repressing it all because of uncertainty, worry that it won't be reciprocated. He's not convinced that he hasn't just ended their friendship as they know it, but he doesn't want to go another day here without admitting the truth — not just to Poe, but himself too.
Poe's the one who moves first to leave Finn feeling more than a little bowled over, the two of them staggering across the ground before he gets his footing back and realizes that Poe's wrapped him up in an embrace, tight and open, and from there it's so incredibly easy for him to just throw his arms around his friend in turn, arms winding across his shoulders and tipping their heads in close as they fit together in their familiar way.
