[ he hadn't realized just how much doms had access to until poe invited him to crash here. this place is easily big enough for at least five people, let alone two and a droid, and with his friend gone now the emptiness of it is even more apparent to him — the loneliness, too, especially since he can't exactly communicate with bb-8 all that well. it's more of a one-sided conversation. ]
Nah, he's over here.
[ he turns the device around for her to see where bb-8's hanging out in the corner, his domed head swiveling around to fix his big optical lens at the camera and gwen's face projected on the screen. there's a series of beeps and a brief headtilt. ]
I'm pretty sure that's a hi. I'm still learning how to understand him.
Shut up. [ whaaaat!!!! gwen gets caught up in CUTE ROBOT for a second before she realizes she just told this guy to shut up ] --I didn't mean it like- the rude kind of shut up. But it was rude, though, wow. I just- He's a droid. [ yes, gwen, he said that ]
[ bb-8 chirps something else, also indecipherable on finn's end, and then idly rolls a little closer to inspect the device. he's probably looking moreso at gwen than anything else, and after a few beats he settles in with another series of beeps. ]
That's more than I would've expected, honestly. He's been a little down since Poe disappeared, but anyway.
[ finn's already moving on down the hallway towards the bedrooms, turning on lights as he goes so it's easier for her to see. ]
These each have a couple rooms, and the kitchen's equipped with a lot of stuff but apparently you can order something called room service whenever you want? [ he doesn't know what that is either, which is the reason he's never attempted it. ]
[ she probably looks a little ridiculous because she keeps bringing the phone closer, which means the camera is closer to her face, but she isn't really thinking that far ahead. that feeling in her gut, not-quite-excitement but not-quite-jealousy either is getting stronger, and that's weird. gwenom definitely has a lot of negative shit she wants to say about how much better the dom apartments are than her own situation, but she's not letting that voice speak up even a little bit. ]
-- oh, I wouldn't do the room service thing anyway. They'd probably want to talk to the dom that lives there, and then you're busted. [ a beat ] But maybe not. Maybe your dom's just busy, so you're answering the door for them. [ another beat ] I think we should test it out. I think that's maybe definitely a thing we should test out.
[ it does look a little funny when he swivels the device back around to catch a glimpse of her face, finding it much closer than it had been originally, but he stifles the temptation to snicker, his amusement manifesting itself in the form of a brief, tight-lipped grin instead, and then nods a little at the good point she makes. ]
Yeah, you're probably right. [ but then she suggests something else, and his eyebrow lifts with slight interest. ]
You know, that's not a bad idea. I mean, if I'm going to get busted anyway, might as well do it after we've taken advantage of all the perks, right?
