And no, there aren't... creatures, exactly. More like people. But they live pretty deep inside. They've never ventured out to where the springs are.

I was just thinking that he could map out the caverns along the way so we wouldn't have to worry about getting turned around in there.

That might be a good idea. Most of the paths leading to and from the springs are easy to follow, but we also may not want to be roaming around in there after dark.
